Our commitment

Trash Can Clean wants every neighbor in Fresno · Clovis · Madera Ranchos to be able to use our website and sign up for service, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology.

Standard we aim for

We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.

What we have done

• Descriptive alternative text on images that carry meaning
• Decorative images hidden from screen readers
• Full keyboard access to every link, button and form control, with visible focus indicators
• Labels on all form fields and buttons, including icon buttons
• Color and text contrast checked against AA thresholds
• Headings in a logical order and landmarks so screen reader users can navigate by structure
• A layout that reflows on phones, tablets and desktops
• Tap targets sized for comfortable use on touch screens

Known limitations

Signup and account management happen on our customer portal, which is operated by an outside provider. We do not control that software, but we have asked our provider about accessibility and will help any customer who has trouble completing signup — just call or email and we will take your information directly.
